    This will be the first of its kind in Ontario. It is an opportunity for people who are interested in EFT, energy,

    new consciousness and connecting with others with these interests. There will be a wide variety of speakers

    who are all using EFT is really dynamic and varied ways. Very exciting stuff. It is open to new & seasoned

  • EFT for PMS

    It was a toss up between  a picture of Xena the Warrior Princess in battle or the classic Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West.
    Nothing properly conveys the unique myriad of symptoms  we call PMS.
    What I do know is that EFT CAN HELP WITH ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS!

    I found a book called Everything You Need To Know About PMS. No, Woody Allen didn't write it.

    Listed in it were some of the common symptoms of PMS:
    weight gain
    abdominal bloating
    enlarged & painful breasts
    fluid retention
    compulsive eating & cravings
    headaches
    stiff joints
    changes in sexual desire
    lower back pain

    So where do you begin?
    Take each symptom & rate it out of 10. Tap on them separately. Each is a separate issue, but we they are all being triggered by hormones, whatever foods you are eating and your belief system that has developed as these symptoms have repeatedly bothered you.

    It is time to recognize that you can fight your body or work with it.
    If you consider that you have a rush of hormones and as the feelings begin that you are starting into an ovulation or period cycle, what do you tell your self? I am going to be in pain, I need a treat, some pizza or icecream will make me feel better.
    Imagine on a cellular level how the dread of being in pain is being interperated & then add a pile of fried food or dairy into the mix. You have now created an emotional and physical signal that sets into motion the headache, or bloating on top of the cramping.

    I highly recommend changing any related patterns to unlock the response your body has created. EFT is a really great tool for the physical symptoms. You will be amazed by how you can use it preventativly as well.
    Even though I am dreading my period.....

    All of these symptoms can be overwhelming & cause depression, mood swings, tension, irritability, anxiety, anger & crying spells.
    How are those feelings tied to your uterus? It is the centre of your reproduction & sexuality in your body. If you have experienced:
    disappointment in love & relationships, pregnancy, loss & fear.

    Take a look at how these fear based emotions are locking a pain pattern in place & that will help you understand what you need to release.

  • EFT for Addiction

    People often come to me with weight issues. We have all heard of emotional eating, reaching for food to comfort ourselves. My approach is the same for chocolate, pizza, smoking, heroin & cocaine. They are all things we think are going to make us feel better but after we indulge, we are swallowed by enormous regret. That is the essence of addiction.
    But the way I treat all of these problems is the same.
    It is not the behavior that is the addiction. It is the self criticism and self blame that we are addicted to.

    How many times have you heard your friends criticize themselves ruthlessly for indulging in a cigarette? What are they saying to themselves? I don't have any control over my behavior, I am a terrible person.... I CAN'T ..  I AM BAD... GET IT? It is a built in ass kicking machine.

    What ever that message is, Tap on it & ask yourself, who used to criticize you like that? Those are keys to changing this pattern of behavior.

    Even though I have no self control
    Even though I am so mad at myself
    Even though I am so disappointed in myself, I have tried everything...& nothing works! I can't do it!

    The most important thing is to Stop beating yourself up. It is no longer allowed.

    Another thing I do is I always ask the person to tell me what they felt like in their body before they were a smoker.  I ask them to step into that body and feel what that would be like. That is usually revealing in some way. Often just remembering what that feels like can be a way to spark the decision to make the change.

    When did they have their first smoke? Who gave it to them? Did they have to hide and who from? Was that a rite of passage? Cool? The first time they were socially accepted? All insights for tapping.

    EFT is fantastic for changing unwanted behavior. Tapping on the way you felt in your old healthier body, negative thinking about your behavior, self criticism are all ways to approach these patterns & they very quickly can be changed permanantly.
